Live in the heart of the adventure

Two new, exclusive cabins side by side — untouched nature and calm, with several of Lofoten's most visited attractions close by. Bright summer nights bring views over the sea all night long.

The mood

Endless light and coastal magic

Summer in Lofoten is a surreal masterclass in contrast. In Sørvågen, dramatic, razor-sharp mountain peaks plunge straight into the untamed Arctic waters. While the surrounding mountains gently cradle our property from the direct midnight sun rays, the light that bathes Glåpen during the summer months is nothing short of magical — casting an endless, ethereal golden glow over the landscape that makes the boundaries of time fade away.

Summer is the season for long days outdoors: mountain hikes, swimming in clear sea, late dinners on the terrace and day trips to the islands out in the open sea.

A protected nature reserve begins just four metres from your cabin door. Step right outside and stroll for hours in absolute peace and untouched silence, completely removed from the tourist traffic — even in peak season.

Worth knowing & weather warnings

🌦

Rapidly changing weather

Even in mid-summer, the Arctic weather is highly volatile — you can experience clear blue skies, dense sea fog, piercing wind and rain all in the span of a single afternoon. If the elements turn, gaze out at the shifting weather through our panoramic windows with a warm drink — or, if you're staying in Nature & Sea, fire up the private sauna and soak in the heat while the wild weather puts on a show right outside the glass.

The 24-hour daylight dilemma

The continuous summer light is intoxicating, but it can easily disrupt your sleep cycle after a long day of exploring. Our bedrooms are equipped with high-quality, professional blackout blinds and curtains designed to completely shut out the persistent Arctic light, so you wake up fully recharged for your next adventure.

Peak season crowds at tourist hotspots

July and August are Lofoten's busiest months, and the most famous hiking trails and tourist hubs can get crowded during the middle of the day. At our property in Glåpen, a protected nature reserve begins just four metres from your cabin door, so you can step right outside and stroll for hours in absolute peace. Our best local tip: head out early in the morning for the classic highlights in solitude, then retreat to the tranquility of Sørvågen.

🦟

Midges in still periods

In calm, humid spells there can be insects. Bring repellent.
