Open the door and you're on a hike. Trails lead you to different parts of the local area, both short loops and longer hikes into the mountains.
Bring some firewood and use the fire pit just minutes from the cabin — a fine end to a day outdoors.
The fire pit lies just a 5–6 minute walk from the cabin. From the loft lounge, follow the path south, around a small hill, down to a small pond. Here, well sheltered from the wind, lies a large stone with clear traces of past fires, and a piece of driftwood that doubles as a bench. Bring some firewood in your pack if you can — it's a short walk either way. The path can be wet in places, so choose your footwear accordingly.
The photos in the gallery show a small sample of the views you can experience in the area around the cabin. The area is large enough to wander through untouched nature for a long time, and there's no problem spending a couple of hours out there entirely on your own. Even at peak season, the odds are strongly in your favour of having the nature entirely to yourself, without running into other hikers or tourists. An easily accessible and relaxing walk, however much time you have.
